- Memorial University Botanical Garden
Through its regular community events and in-depth online resources, the Memorial University Botanical Garden is passionate about spreading the good word about composting—keeping waste from kitchens and yards out of landfills and turning it into natural, soil-rich compost. Partnering with the City of St. John’s, the garden hosts free Backyard Composting Talks throughout the year, teaching the community how easy and effective it is to compost. Plus, their website features a multi-part course on composting, a Composting Made Easy brochure, and more free resources for the public.
