The Town of George’s Brook – Milton, located near NL’s east coast, found that nearly 25% of their waste was organic material, so they started their own community compost initiative to divert their food waste from the landfill – right into their community garden! All of the residents have done important work, taking part in this valuable initiative to keep our province beautiful.
