Winter composting is easy – with a bit of planning. It slows the process but with a few simple steps, you can set up your bin for cold weather composting success.

Given the cool climate, the composting process in Newfoundland and Labrador can take 1-2 years. The amount of time it takes to produce finished compost depends on the materials and the effort you put in.
