- Think Green at Work
Put the work into going green.
Businesses and organizations across Newfoundland and Labrador have a crucial role to play in protecting our environment by thinking green and encouraging employees to adopt sustainable practices in the workplace.

Recycle @ Work
60% of our garbage is generated at work and school.
In 2022, over 15.9 million tonnes of waste were disposed of from non-residential sources, nearly 50% more than waste generated at home (Statistics Canada). When employees team up from various departments to work on and connect over common sustainability issues, employee productivity is found to increase!
Whether you are front-line staff, management, tradesperson, or a labourer – we all play a part in helping reduce waste on the job.

Solid Waste Management Innovation Fund
Turn your unique waste management ideas into real, sustainable business opportunities. Provincially owned and/or operated businesses, industry associations, and non-profit organizations can apply for a maximum non-repayable contribution of up to $50,000.
