Recycling Programs
Did you know over 75% of “waste” material can be recycled? We’ve designed province-wide programs to keep these materials out of landfills. We’re committed to empowering and educating communities through sustainable waste management practices designed in accordance with Newfoundland and Labrador’s Waste Management Regulations.
We’ve Got a Program for That.
MMSB offers recycling programs for Used Beverage Containers and Used Tires. We also collaborate with the Department of Environment, Conservation & Climate Change to develop Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs. Current EPR programs include: Electronics, Used Paint, and Used Oil and Glycol. Together, we’re making sure waste ends up where it belongs.
